About PaEMT.org
PaEMT.org provides information about being an emergency medical technician (EMT) and people who are studying to become an EMT in Pennsylvania. It is maintained by anyone who is willing to help out. It is not an official site of any government, agency, or business. Expenses to maintain the site are currently paid out of the pocket of the original creator of the site. (About $100 a year.)
For a person currently working as an EMT, the site features:
- Incident Resources page = Links to resources for real-world emergencies.
- EOC page = Track what's going on and share information. Anything of concern or to be aware of such as protests, riots, public gatherings/events, the status of on-going issues (could be EMS business problems, legislation, or something else), create and share maps, and so on. This is the website's EOC. It's on-going every day 24/7...except not really, because more people are needed (would you like to help? eoc@paemt.org or Signal paemt.15).
- Planning page = Information to help plan, and prepare, for certain types of incidents or to be able to contue operating under potential conditions.
- Home page = News and other information about emergency medical service (EMS) and medical transportation within Pennsylvania.
- Home page and Education page = News and links to maintain certification (EMR/EMT/Paramedic)
- Dispatch tab = Lists all dispatch centers that share a public list of incidents.
PaEMT.org is not an official site of any government, agency, or business.
If you would like to help the website by contributing information, labor, or anything else, please send an email to hello@paemt.org or (text or call) paemt.15 on Signal.
