Showers and thunderstorms will become widespread Suday afternoon and evening.
Torrential downpours will accompany some of these showers and storms and pose a flooding risk (risk level 2 out of 4).
Slower overall system motion could prolong the heavy rain threat well into Sunday night, especially near and east of US-15.

The map below is the "Excessive Rainfall Outlook." The shaded areas (#1 and #2) indicate the probability of rainfall leading to flash flooding. The green #1 area is marginal risk (at least 5%) and yellow #2 area is slight risk (at least 15%).

Intense rain rates in slower-moving thunderstorms will enhance the flash flood risk this afternoon and evening across portions of central PA. A few localized, significant flash flood is possible especially in areas with primed soils that have received heavy rain in the past 24 hours.
